Welcome to McNitt Growers!
We can meet all your spring and fall planting needs! We specialize in growing premium, quality, spring bedding plant crops, as well as fall strawberry plug plants.
We consist of 1.25 acres of greenhouse space. We grow some of the finest bedding plants in the area for both wholesale and retail. Our first plants with be available April 1st and have them until Mother’s Day. Selection is best early so shop early. We begin selling Strawberry plugs in June and have the first ones ready to ship the last part of August.

This is a little look behind the scenes these days.
Our transplanter works alongside human hands to keep things moving during the busy season. It helps with efficiency and reduces strain on our crew, but it doesn’t replace the work that matters.
Every plant is still grown, monitored, and cared for by people who take pride in what leaves this greenhouse.

Some of you know us only from our retail season, late March through early May, but there’s a whole other side to our work. We provide strawberry plugs to growers throughout the Midwest and beyond, and that keeps us busy long before and after you see our smiling faces in the greenhouse.
This year, we updated our trade show materials and captured lots of photos of this side of the business, a peek behind the scenes at the prep, planning, and care that makes it all possible.
