Welcome to McNitt Growers!

We can meet all your spring and fall planting needs! We specialize in growing premium, quality, spring bedding plant crops, as well as fall strawberry plug plants.

We consist of 1.25 acres of greenhouse space. We grow some of the finest bedding plants in the area for both wholesale and retail. Our first plants with be available April 1st and have them until Mother’s Day. Selection is best early so shop early. We begin selling Strawberry plugs in June and have the first ones ready to ship the last part of August.

What part of America are the first Strawberry Plants going? We are so wet in the south. We may end up planting a rice variety of Strawberry if there is such a thing. Ha ha ha.

I wanted to share how beautiful it is on the farm first thing in morning. Yesterday I was on my way to plant strawberries when I saw this beautiful yiew. For those of you who don’t know, we start strawberry plants for other farmers in multiple states. Those farmers will plant the berries this fall for next spring’s fruit crop. For many farms, strawberries are grown as an annual crop and are planted each fall. Our farm is one of only a few in the US who produce strawberry plants for this annual growing system. ...
